Here at the Integrated PainCare Center, we use a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach to customize a pain relief plan for a wide range of medical conditions, that is responsive and personlized to the needs of each patient. Our physicians, alongside a team of medical professionals will work with you, the patient, to restore functional capabilities and become self-efficient in daily tasks absent of pain symptoms.

We diagnose and provide treatment for patients to acquire active relief, while promoting effectiveness and efficiency through preventative care. The Integrated PainCare Center is dedicated to providing the best possible treatment options for our patient. Our services are as followed:

Acupuncture is a healthcare system over 2000 years old. Acupuncture promotes your body's natural healing and allows for increased functioning. Small needles are inserted into specific points in the body, encouraging the body's own natural healing.

Medical Acupuncture can be helpful in treating many symptoms and diseases. The World Health Organization recognizes the use of acupuncture in the treatment of a wide range of medical problems, including:

  • Physical problems

  • Digestive problems

  • Sinusitis, asthma, and bronchitis

  • Headaches, migraines, facial tics, sciatica

  • Arthritis, neck pain, back pain, tendonitis, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow

TENS is a non-invasive nerve stimulation intended to reduce acute and chronic pain. High voltage pulsed galvanic stimulation has been used in acute low back pain to reduce muscle spasm and soft tissue edema (swelling). When electrical current is delivered, patients may immediately experience less pain.  The electricity from the electrodes stimulates the nerves in an affected area and sends signals to the brain that block normal pain signals. Electrical stimulation of the nerves can facilitate the body to produce natural painkillers (endorphins), which block the perception of pain.

TENS is used to relieve pain for several different types of illnesses and conditions. Our center uses TENS to treat muscle, joint, or bone problems that occur with or without illnesses such as osteoarthritis or fibromyalgia.  In addition, we use TENS to treat low back pain, neck pain, tendinitis, or bursitis.

Laser Therapy is a painless, sterile, non-invasive, drug-free treatment which is used to treat a variety of pain symptoms, injuries, wounds, fractures, neurological conditions, and pathologies. Laser Therapy is rapidly becoming a medical therapy that can heal wounds and fractures up to 60% faster and also reduces the cost of treatment for many conditions. The physiological effects of low level laser therapy are as followed:

  • Biostimulation, including improved metabolism and increased cell metabolism

  • Improved blood circulation and vasodilation

  • Analgesic effect

  • Anti-inflammatory and anti-edematous effects

  • Stimulation of wound healing

Manual therapy includes techniques such as massage, mobilization, and manipulation.

Massage includes stroking, friction, and kneading of muscles and soft tissues. Stroking decreases edema and produces relaxation of muscle. Friction and kneading break down intramuscular adhesions and prepare the muscles and soft tissues for stretching.

Mobilization uses a manual approach to handle tissues including muscles and fascia. Myofascial release is a method of soft tissue mobilization that focuses on the fascial component, which is believed to cause pain and dysfunction.

Manipulation is a skilled, passive movement of a spinal segment, usually within and occasionally beyond its active range of motion.

  • Remediation of impairments and disabilities.

  • Promotion of mobility, functional ability, quality of life and movement potential.

  • Instruction/Application of preventive principles for health promotion, fitness, and wellness.

  • Myofacial Release

  • Ultrasound

Therapeutic exercises are for increasing functional activity. They consist of:

  • Range of motion (ROM)/stretching
  • Strengthening
  • Cardiovascular aerobic conditioning
  • Specific exercises
  • Relaxation exercises

Strengthening exercises consist of general cardiovascular conditioning exercises and specific exercise protocols. General cardiovascular conditioning exercises involve the whole body and increase aerobic capacity. They increase physical capabilities, reduce pain, and increase endurance, which significantly improve patients who are deconditioned by effects of chronic pain. Specific exercise protocols improve flexibility, posture, and endurance and consist of:

  • Aerobic conditioning
  • Stretching
  • Fitness exercises

  • Botox Injections

    • Upper and Lower Limb Spasticity

    • Migraine / Headaches

    • Cervical Dystonia

    • Severe Primary Axillary Hyperhidrosis

    • Blephorospasm

  • Dermal Filler (Juviderm)
